as a Christian life in business coach I’ve been working really hard to take the truths of the scriptures and apply them to life and to business I want to make sure that we’re doing that with integrity and then we’re doing it in a way that is true to what the scriptures say and recently I’ve been going through the book of James and I found in James chapter one what I consider to be kind of a secret weapon of Christians who are in business and is found in James chapter one verses five and six and here’s how it reads if any of you lacks wisdom let him ask God who gives generously to all without reproach and it will be given to him but let him ask in faith and no doubting for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that’s driven and tossed by the wind that person must not suppose he will receive anything from the Lord now look at that for a second as Christians we have the resource of God’s wisdom God’s wisdom not just your wisdom not just the best a business guru or a coach can give you but the wisdom of God Himself the God who created everything who knows how business relationships work who knows how economies work who knows how supply and demand works that is the God whose wisdom we have on our side and there’s not something really costly we have to do to get it we simply have to ask isn’t that phenomenal so in your business what are the the things you’re struggling with right now what are the obstacles you’re facing you just have to ask you just have to ask God to give you the wisdom that you need but there is one caveat and the caveat is when you ask you not only just have to ask you have to believe that you will receive what you’re asking for and what you’re asking for is wisdom so you have to ask God to give you wisdom and then you have to step out and begin acting this is a hard way to say but as if God is giving you wisdom because he is you see that’s what faith is faith is a confidence in God that he will do what he has said he will do and this is God speaking who says if we need wisdom we ask him and he will give it to us generously so I want to ask you first of all are you asking God for the wisdom that you need second of all are you acting as if he’s going to give you that wisdom are you stepping out boldly are you being confident in the decisions you make after you’ve asked are you moving into those difficult situations with employees or contractors or clients with confidence because you’ve asked God to give you wisdom and you believe that he will
